Close Up Car Show - 2019 - Saturday, September 14 at Lolo School Lower Field

The Lolo School District Close Up Program makes available an opportunity for 8th grade students to visit Washington, D.C. for a few days to participate in the nationally recognized and respected Close Up Program Study of Government. One of the fundraisers is a Car Show, sponsored by the Shifters Car Club. The Car Show is held from approximately 9am – 2pm in the lower field and has a wonderful turnout of classic cars as well as sodas/food available at the lower level. Student-made awards are presented each year to Car Show participants. Join us for a beautiful fall fund-raising event that supports a great learning opportunity for Lolo’s 8th grade students. PTSA holds two Book Fairs as part of its fundraising efforts for Lolo School’s education program. Held in the upper gymnasium, the first is held in the early fall, often during parent/teacher conferences and the second in early spring. The Lolo School District Close Up Program features a few Family Movie Nights during the late fall through early spring months. Movies are popular and appropriate for all ages. Popcorn and refreshments are available. Held in the upper gymnasium. Bring your own chair or pillow and pad and join the fun! Lolo School District is proud to provide a K-8 music program for its students. The music program usually includes both a Winter Concert in December and a Spring Concert in May. Concerts are usually divided into segments/times for various grade levels and are held in the lower gymnasium. The District provides early notice of concert segments and times through newsletters, social media, and posts the information closer to that time on its reader board.

Parking for the concerts is available in the lower loop, the front parking lot and the upper parking lot. If you park off-site, please be respectful of nearby business and residential rules/needs for parking space.

Parent Night In-services

Lolo School District often provides in-service to parents regarding how to help support student learning from home. Often times it is pertinent to day-care and pre-school providers as well.

The evenings are part of the school's Title I program and coordinated by Title I teachers Jessica Lucas and Megan Huleatt.

Lolo School/Community Student Showcase & Spaghetti SUpper

A volunteer effort from the Lolo School staff, Lolo School provides an annual spaghetti feed for the community, parents and kids. Usually $2/plate for spaghetti, bread and salad, the evening combines the meal with an opportunity to see student work on display around the gymnasium or school. Middle School 6th-8th grade dances are generally held four times per year. Dances are a fundraiser for 8th grade parents whose goal is to provide a promotion celebration of some kind.

Missoula Children'S Theatre

Sponsored by Booster Club, the nationally recognized Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) visits for one week a year and includes Lolo School students of all ages in its production. Practices run after school through the week with final productions on Friday night. It’s a long-time favorite of parents and students! Booster Club Cookie Dough Sales

One of three major fundraisers by Booster Club for Lolo School extracurricular programs, the fall Cookie Dough Sale is a great way to support the school AND treat yourself to delicious cookies! Lolo Students compete with each other to see who can sell the most. Likely followed by adults competing with each other as to who can eat the most! PTSA Sock Hop

Get out those bobbie socks and poodle shirts and come swing to the oldies! When possible, the PTSA sponsors this family friendly event in the winter.

Egg Hunt

PTSA sponsors an annual egg hunt at Travelers' Rest State Park for our community children. Last year over 500 children came to collect eggs and prizes.

An annual spring event highly popular with families/kids, the PTSA Carnival features various grade level-sponsored game-booths and displays for kids and families to enjoy. Food and drinks available in the cafeteria. The Carnival is one of PTSA’s primary fund-raisers for providing additional support to the Lolo SD education program – often in the area of technology, playground equipment and various other much-needed areas. Booster Club sponsors several sports camps, some during the school year and others during the summer. Proceeds go toward the Lolo School extracurricular activities.
